Bulk & Shiners

Updated April 23, 2024

Note to the general public: These are bulk and unlabeled, bottled wines that can only be sold to wineries at these wholesale prices. Labels and other packaging cause the final retail price to be much higher.

We have the following shiners in storage that we are offering for sale. We typically bottle more shiners in January, April and August each year. If there is something you are looking for, or would like to be notified of new shiners, please use the form below.

BULK

Considering the challenges our industry is facing now, we often come across various available bulk wine lots, and recently had the following bulk lot in storage that we were offering for sale. In addition, we can source specific lots from other wineries for our clients. If there is something you are looking for, please use the form below.

Besides our high-scoring Markus-labeled bottlings, we source and bottle wine for many other wineries located in North Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin, California and elsewhere.

With vineyards that we particularly like, we make more wine than either we or our winery clients need, knowing we’ll find buyers like you. None of these wines are unintentional leftovers or defective in any way. They are all made in the Markus style: higher acids, well-defined fruit.

We prefer to ship bulk wine in barrel or 330-gallon IBC totes, but can ship larger orders in other appropriate containers. All pricing shown does not include shipping or other labeling.

If you’re interested in any of these lots, or have an interest in something not listed, please let us know through the inquiry form below, give us a call on our main line 209-437-3859, or call Markus on his cell phone if you have the number.

We look forward to working with you!

    COLAS & CUSTOM/PRIVATE LABEL

For your shiners, we are well-versed in establishing fictitious business names for bottling, obtaining COLAs quickly, and even aiding in working with high-quality local label printers.

TTB requires all bottled wine to have approved labels permanently affixed before being removed from bond. TTB always requires COLA approval to be obtained by the winery which bottled shiners.

We require art files in PDF or JPG format of all labels to be affixed, and if you would like your DBA to appear in the bottler’s address (“Bottled by” statement), we can email you a permission letter.

Note that there are usually extra charges for all of these services. For example, we charge $175 to set up a group of new fictitious business names and $50 per COLA application. Please contact us for an estimate.

While we don’t do custom crush, we also do often custom label, as well as offer our own second “Markus Single Source”, “Markus Select Sources”, and “Markus Red Blend” labels for sale.

    Cheers!
